The book Ḥikmat-i Ṣadrāʾī bih Riwāyat-i ʿAllāma Ṭabāṭabāʾī: Mabḥath-i Sabq wa Luḥūq, Sharḥ-i Nihāyat al-Ḥikma – Marḥalah-yi Dahum (Sadrian Philosophy as Narrated by ʿAllāma Ṭabāṭabāʾī: The Discussion of Priority and Posteriority, Commentary on Nihāyat al-Ḥikma– Stage Ten), authored by Abdolrasoul Uboudiyat, has been published in Persian by the Imam Khomeini Educational and Research Institute in 172 pages (royal octavo size).
The work is intended to offer a renewed understanding of Mullā Ṣadrā’s Transcendent Wisdom (al-Ḥikmat al-Mutaʿāliya) while bridging the gap between contemporary readers and the philosophical heritage of the past. To achieve this, the author emphasizes three essential steps: (1) preparing a revised and condensed version of al-Asfār al-Arbaʿa (Mulla Ṣadrā’s Four Journeys), (2) presenting the material in a logically structured manner, and (3) writing a detailed commentary that spares the reader from direct reference to al-Asfār.
This book, which constitutes the fourteenth volume in the commentary series on Nihāyat al-Ḥikma (by ʿAllāma Ṭabāṭabāʾī), offers a detailed exposition and clarifies many of its difficulties. In so doing, it opens a new pathway for students and scholars of Sadrian philosophy.
