The book Tan, Tarjumān-i Jān: Taʾammulātī Falsafī dar Bāb-i Taʿāmul-i Nafs wa Badan (The Body: An Expression of the Soul: Philosophical Reflections on the Interaction of Soul and Body), authored by Dr. Ahmad Shahgoli, Associate Professor at the Research Institute for Islamic Culture and Thought, has been published in Persian by the Sadra Research Center for Humanities and Islamic Studies. It comprises 248 pages.

This work offers philosophical reflections on the interaction between the soul (nafs) and the body, a foundational issue in the study of the soul (ʿilm al-nafs), with significant implications for related fields. By examining the foundations, key questions, and rational principles governing the soul–body relationship, alongside the perspectives of Islamic philosophers, the book delineates the dimensions of their mutual influence. Ultimately, it proposes a framework for understanding this interaction and explores its implications and outcomes within anthropology (in the Islamic humanities sense, i.e., a philosophical–theological study of the human being) and related disciplines.
