On August 21, 2025, the Strategic Studies Center of Tasnim News Agency convened a scholarly seminar in Qom entitled “Religion and Knowledge in the Realization of the New Islamic–Iranian Civilization.”
The seminar, chaired by Dr. Mojtaba Rostamikia, was held to examine the reciprocal role of religious knowledge and scientific inquiry in the advancement of Islamic society.
Speakers included Hujjat al-Islam Dr. Abolfazl Sajedi, faculty member at the Imam Khomeini Education and Research Institute, and Hujjat al-Islam Dr. Seyyed Mohammad-Hossein Hashemian, faculty member at Baqir al-ʿOlum University. Both scholars presented specialized analyses and perspectives.
Topics addressed included:
- Theological and epistemic approaches to enemy recognition;
- The formative role of religion and knowledge in shaping the New Islamic–Iranian Civilization;
- A reexamination of religious and scientific components in the thought of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution.
