On 13 August 2025, the first joint academic gathering of professors from Iranian and Iraqi universities was held at the Holy Shrine of Imām Ḥusayn (a) in Karbala, on “Arbaʿīn and the Empowerment of Muslim Scholarship.”

The event aimed to strengthen academic cooperation, promote the synergistic development of scholarly capacities, and build a united intellectual front in the pursuit of justice and freedom. It brought together a distinguished group of professors and academic elites from both countries.
