On 13 August 2025, the first joint academic gathering of professors from Iranian and Iraqi universities was held at the Holy Shrine of Imām Ḥusayn (a) in Karbala, on “Arbaʿīn and the Empowerment of Muslim Scholarship.”
The event aimed to strengthen academic cooperation, promote the synergistic development of scholarly capacities, and build a united intellectual front in the pursuit of justice and freedom. It brought together a distinguished group of professors and academic elites from both countries.
Key themes of the conference included:
- The role of Muslim scholars in addressing the crisis of Palestine;
- The necessity of knowledge production and the formation of a scientific community in the Islamic world;
- The future of the Islamic world and the role of scholars;
- Lifestyle and the role of the family in shaping the future of the Islamic world.
