Call for Submissions: “The 5th National and 1st International Women’s Book of the Year Award”

A Platform for Representing and Honoring Women’s Research Achievements in the Humanities and Islamic Sciences

In an effort to advance scientific discourse and pay tribute to the research endeavors of female scholars, the “5th National and 1st International Women’s Book of the Year Award” has been announced. This academic event, known as the Women’s Book of the Year Award, has now expanded its horizons to include a transnational and international approach, aims to promote a culture of research, foster scientific networking, and recognize the distinguished works of female researchers across the disciplines of humanities and Islamic studies.

Submissions must have been published or defended between the years 2023 and 2026 (1402–1405 AHS) and authored in Persian, English, or Arabic. The deadline for submission is February 18, 2027 (30 Bahman 1405). Works will be accepted in the following three academic categories:

  1. Books: Works published by women, including authored monographs, translations, and critical editions of texts.
  2. Articles: Scientific-research papers published in reputable academic journals.
  3. Dissertations: Doctoral dissertations or Level 4 Hawza (seminary) theses that have been successfully defended.

Special Research Focus of Women’s Book of the Year Award: “Women and Family” Studies

  • Muslim women and the challenges of religious identity in the contemporary world.
  • Family and Islamic lifestyle in the face of global macro-trends.
  • Women and gender justice: A comparative study of Islamic thought and contemporary approaches.
  • Women’s roles in peace, resistance, global governance, and policy-making.
  • Women, media, and the war of narratives on the international stage.
  • Muslim women in migration, minority communities, and the Western world.
  • Women’s health in multiple dimensions (physical, psychological, spiritual, and social).
  • Hijab and modesty: An analysis from Quranic foundations to international dimensions.
