The book “The Theory of Security and Lifestyle,” authored in Persian by Dr. Morteza Yousefirad, has been published in 196 pages by the Islamic Sciences and Culture Academy. Focusing on the foundations of Islamic political philosophy, this work examines the relationship between “security” and “lifestyle,” striving to present a theoretical framework for understanding these two concepts in relation to one another.

According to the text on the back cover of the book, within the framework of Islamic political philosophy, religious beliefs play a fundamental role in shaping behavior and its quality. From this perspective, security and lifestyle are not two independent domains; rather, they are connected by a deep and reciprocal bond. In this context, security does not merely denote the absence of external threats; it encompasses the creation of a safe environment free from both internal and external threats—an environment that engenders stability, tranquility, equilibrium, and sustainability at the individual, social, and political levels.

The author emphasizes that such a conceptualization of security has direct and indirect impacts on the lifestyles of individuals and societies. Accordingly, the formation of a balanced lifestyle is the product of comprehensive security—a lifestyle in which the relationship between the individual and society is regulated based on prevailing values, and an equilibrium in the consumption of cultural goods is established. Ultimately, this condition leads to the reinforcement of “cultural security.”

Furthermore, the book demonstrates that a lifestyle grounded in religious values inherently generates security. It is capable of bolstering faith-based, individual, and social security across various strata of society, thereby providing a foundation for social stability and cohesion.

“The Theory of Security and Lifestyle” can be regarded as an endeavor to provide a theoretical model for cultural and social policymaking. Relying on religious foundations, this model seeks to establish a balance among the diverse dimensions of human life and to elevate the level of security within society.
