The book “Islamic Management in Sports Organizations,” spanning 235 pages and co-authored in Persian by Nazanin Rasekh, Hamid Ghasemi, Saeed Jafari, and Abolfazl Gaeini within the Management Department of the Research Institute of Hawzah and University, has been released to the publishing market.
According to the abstract of this work, the current research utilizes a mixed-methods strategy and is developmental in terms of its purpose. In the qualitative phase, semi-structured interviews were purposively conducted with academic and executive experts. In the quantitative phase, the main dimensions identified were converted into a questionnaire and subsequently validated.
The statistical population in the quantitative section comprised experts from the Ministry of Sports and Youth in the Iranian calendar year 1400 [2021–2022]. Utilizing constructivist grounded theory, three main clusters were derived: 1. Specialized characteristics and criteria; 2. Structural characteristics and criteria; 3. Value-based characteristics and criteria.
Ultimately, the study concludes that Islamic managers must primarily possess specialized characteristics and criteria. Furthermore, Islamic managers within the Ministry of Sports and Youth—in addition to possessing specific attributes—must execute duties and implement measures in alignment with Islamic teachings. This ensures that the organization’s objectives, which are influenced by the Islamic value system, are successfully achieved.
This book is organized into two sections and five chapters. The first section encompasses the first three chapters under the overarching title “A Review of Theoretical Foundations and Research Background,” while the second section includes the fourth and fifth chapters, titled “Research Findings and the Development of an Islamic Management Model in Sports Organizations.”
