In June 2025, the Research Institute of Hawzah and University published The Role of Government in Political Socialization from the Perspective of Nahj al‑Balāgha, authored by Mohammad Kazem Karimi. This 320‑page scholarly‑analytical work investigates the role of government in the process of political socialization of members of society, whereby political and social values and beliefs are transmitted to new generations and institutionalized within society.

The book is organized into five chapters:

  • Chapter I: General frameworks and theoretical preliminaries.
  • Chapter II: Institutions of political socialization in Nahj al‑Balāgha, analyzed through open and axial coding.
  • Chapter III: Contexts of political socialization, examined with the same coding approaches.
  • Chapter IV: Criteria for assessing political socialization in governance, including rationality, justice, transparency, commitment to rights, and detachment from bias.
  • Chapter V: Theory construction based on selective coding, presenting the process of theory building, its central core, and the model “Good Government – Good Citizen – Good Society.”

Drawing upon the teachings of Nahj al‑Balāgha, the book vividly illustrates the dual role of government in guiding society towards or diverting it from the path of justice and eschatological belief.
